Just Food
The Sunset Park CSA is a member of the Just Food CSA Network which seeks to establish a set of common values that celebrate the most meaningful elements of the CSA model.
As part of the Network, we are committed to supporting local farms, promoting sustainable and organic growers, advancing food justice, facilitating partnership between our farmer and our members, fostering community and supporting the CSA Network as a whole.

Center for Family Life in Sunset Park
Center for Family Life (CFL) has been instrumental in helping the Sunset Park CSA with its efforts to create a CSA that is representative of Sunset Park’s economic and social diversity. Center for Family Life is a neighborhood-based family and social services organization with deep roots in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Since 1978, CFL has been a force for positive change in this underserved community. The Center is embedded in the life of Sunset Park and functions as a reliable partner to families, schools, local agencies and organizations. CFL’s staff has a close, long-term connection to the community, and the organization works passionately for change that improves opportunities and enhances quality of life for members of the neighborhood. CFL’s mission is to promote positive outcomes for children, adults and families in Sunset Park through the provision of a comprehensive range of neighborhood-based family and social services. Citizens Committee for New York City
Citizens Committee for New York City stimulates and supports self-help and civic action to improve the quality of life in New York City and its neighborhoods. The Sunset Park CSA is the recipient of one of their grants which has helped us to supplement share prices and make our CSA affordable for all income ranges. Rice and Dreams is a volunteer group of Sunset Park, Brooklyn neighbors & friends inspired by food, justice and strong healthy communities. Their mission is to bring neighbors and friends together around meals that heal us from the inside out, and also work towards positive change in our world that will heal us from the outside in.
